ScharadL’s StyleZine Breaks  Records

From the Desk of StyleZine

March, 31, 2011 in less  than  24  hours  after  its  online  Debut,  ‘The  Girl  Next  Door’  issue  of  Stylezine  Magazine gathered  a  record  20,000  hits.  It  is  a  feat  considering  that  the  publication  is  ONLY  available  for   viewing  through  the website,  www.StylezineMagazine.com  and  is  completely   Bahamian  owned  and  produced. Now  in  its  fifth  year,  Stylezine  Magazine is  proving  that  its  artfully  presented  covers,  trendy  and   pop-‐  culture  topics  and  features  on  technology,  fashion,  relationships  and  art  are  what  people   want.  Stylezine also  features  some  avant- garde personalities  on  its   covers.  This  month’s  issue  features  newscaster  Kristina  McNeil  of  Bahamas’ Cable  12  as  The  Girl  Next  Door.

Stylezine’s  March   issue  seeks  to  shatter  the  stereotype  that  all  people  in  media  court  attention   when  the  cameras  are  off,  when  in  reality  (and  not  reality  tv),  all  a  girl  wants  to  do  is  sit  and   watch   Star  Trek  reruns.

Creator  and  Editor  in  Chief  of  StyleZine , Nik  Barnes  is  pleased  with  the  progress  made   by  the magazine  since  its  inception.  ‘To  date,  StyleZine  has  broken  barriers  as  an  independently   produced  digital publication    reaching  readers  across  a  wide     males  and   females demographic between  the  ages  of  16  through  35.  The  strength  of  the  magazine  rests  in  the  writers  and  the  artful  presentation  of  the  cover  stories’.

Stylezine has featured  noted Bahamian  Music  artists  like  Tada, Sami Starr, Sketch Carey,  and  Bodine  on  its  covers.   The  Freshman  Class:  Black  to  School  Edition featuring  photographer  Lyndah  Wells   and  Rapper/Poet  RAPP  Quelle  amassed  more  than  130,000  hits. The  Girl  Next  Door  Mach 2011 issue  is  the  first  iPad,  iPhone,  BlackBerry  and  SmartPhone  friendly  issue,   allowing  readers  to  take  their  favorite  magazine  along  with  them  with  no  consequence  to   the  environment.

  1. Over the last 5 years StyleZine has raised the bar of digital publications bringing artistic expression, a Caribbean vantage point, a creative platform for emerging businesses, artists and writers to the fore. StyleZine’s international distribution and download capability via issue.com is groundbreaking. I applaud Nik Barnes, ScharadL and the entire StyleZine staff for bringing it new and fresh every single time. As an entertainment firm I am deeply appreciative that DS3 Entertainment’s artists have been so fortunate to be highlighted on several covers and showcased in your features. Thanks StyleZine Magazine for keeping DS3 all up inna yuh earhole as we take Bahamian music worldwide. One love.
